Product Description

The UL Highriser Y Strainer Grooved Ends 300PSI is designed to protect valves, meters and other important equipment in fire protection and water distribution systems by removing rust, scale and solid particles from the flow. The Y-shaped body provides a large straining area and low pressure loss, and the screen can be accessed through the bolted cover for easy cleaning and maintenance.

The body and cover are made from ductile iron ASTM A536 65-45-12 and are fusion bonded epoxy coated RAL3002 inside and outside for excellent corrosion resistance. The strainer uses a stainless steel AISI 304 screen, EPDM gasket and carbon steel drain plug. Grooved ends are suitable for ANSI or BS standard pipe, allowing quick installation with standard grooved couplings in fire mains and sprinkler systems.
